Do not be afraid....

This morning Chris was put on a ventilator, although the staph infection has been conquered, the pneumonia is still there. Chris had been struggling with breathing for so long that he was exhausted and it was decided the best way to give his body rest was to let a machine do it for him. It was a very hard decision to make, he is now sedated so we can not longer hear his sweet voice. But the struggle to breath was causing him great distress.

I don't know where this is leading, but I do know that God has it in His hands. Chris is surrounded by a host of friends and family who are petitioning before the Lord. My heart is in pieces, but I know that God is good, and I have to trust Him with that which is most precious to me, my children.

Wow, what a godly woman you are, Dawn! It makes me want to know you more. We are praying for Chris from afar, and we're also praying for you and his siblings, and his grandpa. There's a song that goes: "When you don't understand, when you can't see His plan, when you can't trace His hand, trust His heart." That is obviously what you are doing, and what great rewards you will have when this short life is over for all of us.

In His love,
Debbie Tweed (Katie's mom)

You are on many people's hearts here in Orlando, every day at work someone asks or comments on the updates I am sending out from Rille, and I know many are praying for you all and for healing for Chris. We hope you are sensing some measure of comfort from the prayers of the Body of Christ. Love, Donna

Dawn,
Our love and prayers are with you, Chris, and your family. We are continuing to petition our God for a miracle. We stand in faith with you and trust that God will meet all your emotional, physical, and spiritual needs in this very painful and uncertain time. You are certainly a woman after God's own heart. I know He sees that your heart is in pieces right now and He is weeping with you. Your courage and trust in Him during everything that you have experienced in the last several months have inspired so many of us. I really do desire to have faith and trust like you. None of us are guaranteed to live our lives without suffering, I just pray that we can stand as strong as you have and glorify God in the trials of this life. With God's help we know that all things are possible. I thank God that you know Him so well and you choose to trust HIm even when this trial does not make any sense. You and your sweet family are so loved by so many people.
Fervently praying for you all,
Lori
